மஞ்சள் வாடா (இராலுடன்)
ERAAL VAADAA
(Rice Flour Wada)
INGREDIENTS
Shallots – ¼ Kg.
Green Chilies – 2 Nos.
Turmeric Powder- 1 TSP.
Massi Powder – ½ TBSP.
Podi – ½ TBSP.
Grated Coconut – ½ No. (Small)
Curry Leaves – Few.
For flour Mixing :
Cuppi – 100 Gms.
Rice Flour – 200 Gms.
Water – 200 Ml.
Turmeric Powder- ¼ TSP.
Grated Coconut – 50 Gms.
Salt – T.T.
METHOD
Method for stuffing:
1. Chop the Onion & Green Chilies .
2. Heat the oil & saute the onions, green chilies & curry leaves.Add the turmaric powder, grated coconut,saute well.Once half done, remove from the fire & cool it.
3. Add the maasi powder & podi, mix it & keep a side.
Flour mixing method:
1. Cook together the cuppi, enough water, turmaric powder & salt in simmer.
2. Once cook until thick consistency , remove from fire & cool it upto warm & add the rice flour, grated coconut,salt & sprinkle little water to mix well like dough.cover it in wet cloth because it become dry.
3. Take wooden board, put the wet cloth on top of the wooden board.
4. Make a small ball like lemon size and fatten round in the wooden board.make two pieces like this one bigger and one smaller.In smaller round put the stuffing & cover with big flatten piece on top & paste the edges using little water and deep fry until cook it in golden brown.
5. Serve with tea.
