KIZHAKKA MEEN
(Fish Pepper Curry)
INGREDIENTS
Cumin – 1 TSP.
Snuff – ½ TSP.
Pepper Corns – ½ TSP.
Fish – ¼ Kg.
Tomato – 50 gms.
Onion – 25 Gms.
Green Chilies – 2 Nos.
Red Chilie Powder – 1 TBSP.
Salt – T.T.
Garlic – 2 Flakes.
Grated Coconut – 3 TBSP..
Oil – 25 Ml.
METHOD :
1. Clean and wash the fish pieces. Wash with turmeric powder and salt.
2. Marinate with Red Chilie Powder & salt.
3. Make a fine paste the grated coconut, pepper corns, cumins, snuff, at last add the garlic using the grinding stone. Then only the real taste comes.
4. Mix the paste with the marinated fish. Add the enough amount of water.
5. In a separate bowl, mash the green chilies, tomato, curry leaves. Mix this mixture into the fish.
6. Heat the oil, add the chopped onions and curry leaves. Brown it and add the fish mixture. Add some sliced onions in it. Cook it for 10 minutes.
7. Serve hot with white rice.
