சன்னா மசாலா

KONDAIKADALAI KARI

(Chenna Masala)

INGREDIENTS
Chenna Dal – 200 Gms.
Potato – 100 Gms.
Tomato – 300 gms.
Onion – 2 Nos.
Coconut Pieces – 2 Pcs.
Gingelly Oil – 2 TSP.
Red Chilies Powder – 2 TSP.
Coriander Powder – 2 TSP.
Chenna Masala/
Curry Masala Powder – 1 TSP.
Cumin – ½ TSP.
Salt – T.T.
Turmeric – T.T.
METHOD :
1. Soak the dal overnight.
2. Cook the dal 20 minutes in the pressure cooker.
3. Grind separately onion, coconut, and paste.
4. Heat the oil. Fry the cumin once it cracks add the onion paste saute well. Colour change, add the chopped tomato saute it, after adding 1 cup of water, cooked chenna dal, Red Chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt, boil for few minutes.
5. Add the cooked potato pieces and add coconut paste as required. Add the basen flour. Thick it for few minutes Remove from fire. Serve hot.
